Public Interfaces

To add a Public Interface, click 'Add Public Interface'.

To edit a Public Interface, click the blue 'edit' button at the relevant Public Interface.

To delete a Public Interface, click the red 'del' button at the relevant Public Interface.

Interface  

After a Public Interface has been saved, you can edit the Public Interface to specify addition settings and find the ID of the Public Interface. Use this ID to navigate to your Public Interface: [domain-name].nodegoat.net/viewer.p/[public-interface-ID]. A default Public Interface can be accessed via [domain-name].nodegoat.net/viewer or [domain-name].nodegoat.net.

Enter a Name for the Public Interface.

Check the Default checkbox to make this Public Interface the default Public Interface.

Select one or more Projects to be used in this Public Interface.

Projects  

Specify settings that affect one project.

Project Name in Menu This value is only displayed once multiple projects have been selected in one Public User Interface. This value is displayed in the tabbed menu that allows users to switch between projects.
Filter Mode
  • None: no filtering options.
  • Search: a single search bar that can be used to find Objects and that can display Objects or Categories as filters.
  • Filter Form: a form to filter based on selected Object Descriptions, Sub-Object Descriptions, and dates.
Text in Search BarApplicable for Filter Mode 'Search'. Enter a text that is displayed in the single search bar.
Button for Project DescriptionApplicable for Filter Mode 'None'. Enter a text that is displayed as a button that shows the 'Project Description' when clicked.
Project DescriptionApplicable for Filter Mode 'None' and 'Search'. Enter a text that is displayed when the 'Button for Project Description' is clicked.
Select Object TypesApplicable for Filter Mode 'Search'. Check this checkbox to display a dropdown menu that allows users to activate or de-activate Object Types.
Object TypesApplicable for Filter Mode 'None' and 'Search'. Select the available Object Types.
Filter Object TypesApplicable for Filter Mode 'Search'. Select the Object Types used for filtering.
Filter FormApplicable for Filter Mode 'Filter Form'. Specify the filter options.
Display ModesCheck the checkboxes for each kind of visualisation that you want to enable per Object Type.
Filter ScopeSelect the Scopes used when displaying Objects after a filter is set.
Object Visualisation ScopeSelect the Scopes used when displaying an Object Visualisation.
Select ScenariosCheck the checkboxes for each kind of visualisation that you want to enable per Scenario.
Configure Start Screen
  • None: Empty Start Screen.
  • Scenario: Select a Scenario and Display Mode as a Start Screen.
  • Type / Types: The Object Type(s) of this project will be shown in the selected Display Mode.
  • Random Objects: Select Object Types, Filters, and amounts to show a random selection of Objects in a grid view.
Advanced
  • Display Grid Overlay: Show a grid view on top of the visualisations.
  • Render Object View Fullscreen: Display an Object over the full width of the screen.
  • Object Visualisations precede Object View: Display Object Views and Object Visualisations next to each other.
  • Order Objects by stored Analysis configuration: Select a stored Analysis configuration to order Objects.
