Users

A User can be given access to one or more Projects. By specifying a Clearance Level and Page Clearance, Users can be given access to functionalities and pages.

To add a User, click 'Add User'.

To edit a User, click the blue 'edit' button at the relevant User.

To delete a User, click the red 'del' button at the relevant User.

User Settings  

Account  

Active (Existing User)Existing users can be activated or deactivated.
Display NameThe proper name used when the user is referred/mentioned/listed.
EmailEmail address used for communication and as initial username. User can change both the email address and username after login.
Send (New User)Check the box 'Account Information' to send the User a confirmation email. New Users will receive a message with a link that allows them to specify a password.
Send (Existing User)Choose one of the following:
  • No Email: Do not send an information email to the User. (default)
  • Account Information: Send an email to the User with their basic information and a login link.
  • Account Password: Send an email to the User with their basic information and a link that can be used to specify a (new) password.
Account URL (Existing User)Click the grey 'more' button to view the URL that can be used to specify a (new) password for this User. This URL is only available when an email is sent out to the User containing this link (see the description for 'Send' above), and when the link has not been used.

Projects  

Select the projects to which the User has access.

Clearance  

Demo (1)Read only.
Interact (2)Allowed to participate in the 'Discussion' tab.
Under Review (3)Allowed to add, delete, edit, and export data. All changes will be marked for review. Changes have to be accepted or rejected by a User or Admin before they become effective.
User (4)Changes become immediately effective. Allowed to accept or reject changes made by 'Under Review' Users.
Administrator (5)Allowed to import, create and update Projects, Users, Data Model, Linked Data Resources, APIs, Public User Interfaces.

Page Clearance  

Open the tab 'Page Clearance' to select the pages to which the User has access.

'Administrator' Users need to be given access to the administrative modules of the environment. Even though non-'Administrator' Users may be given access to other pages, they will not be able to perform any actions outside the 'Data' module.
